June 2008 Pilgrimage to Holy Land

Hiking in TiberiusEmmanuel School of Religion’s Institute for Excellence in Ministry is pleased to present “Renewing God’s Call: A Pastoral Pilgrimage to the Holy Land.” This pastoral renewal experience is fully funded and made possible because of a generous grant to Emmanuel School of Religion from the CF Foundation.

Pastors who currently serve a mega-church, have at least five years experience in the ministry, are 35-55 years of age, and are physically able to make the trip are welcome to apply.

Mona Lisa of Palestine-SephorisThis trip will be limited to 10-12 pastors and spouses (spouses must attend). Accepted applicants will be notified on or before February 1, 2008. A non-refundable $400 fee (per couple) will be required after notification. All other expenses for travel, lodging, meals, etc. will be covered by the program.

Trip Leaders:
We have assembled a quality team that represents over 50 years of pastoral experience, academic expertise, and spiritual direction. Dr. Tom Jones (Emmanuel School of Religion: Professor of Christian Ministries and Director of Supervised Ministerial Experience) will serve as Pilgrimage Director and will be attending with his wife, Debbie. Tim Ross (Minister of Hopwood Christian Church) will serve as Spiritual Director and will be attending with his wife, Marcia. Dr. Paul Blowers (Emmanuel School of Religion: Professor of Church History) will serve as Bible Faculty and will be attending with his wife, Sandy.
